NYCN Obubra Chapter Congratulates Ernest Joes on APC Assembly Ticket, Promises to Deliver Him at the Polls

The National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN), Obubra Chapter, has congratulated TPL. Ernest Joes on his emergence as the flag bearer of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for the Cross River State House of Assembly, Obubra Constituency 1, ahead of the 2027 general elections.

In a statement signed by the chapter’s Coordinator, Comrade Okare Sylvester, the council described Joes’ emergence as a good omen for the people of Obubra, expressing confidence in his capacity to effectively represent the interests of the constituency.

The council highlighted Joes’ grassroots presence, leadership capacity and commitment to empowering others, noting that his antecedents demonstrate his preparedness to provide purposeful representation.

According to the council, Joes has the qualities required to build on the legacy of the late Chief John Oyom Okpa, former Deputy Governor of Cross River State and a respected political figure who made significant contributions to the development of Cross River State during his time.

The NYCN also commended the Cross River State Governor, Senator Prince Bassey Edet Otu, for what it described as his continued commitment to youth inclusion in governance and for providing the youths of Obubra with a “capable and dynamic representative” to fly the APC flag in the 2027 election.

“The youths of Obubra are proud of you and stand firmly in support of your aspiration,” the statement read.

The council further urged Governor Otu to sustain his commitment to youth inclusion by creating more opportunities for young people to actively participate in governance and leadership.

In conclusion, the Chapter wished Joes wisdom, strength and success as he prepares for the electoral contest, assuring him of the support and solidarity of the youths of Obubra and expressing confidence that the collective support of Obubra youths would translate into victory for the APC candidate at the polls.
