Sources revealed that the Nigerian Union of Petroleum and Natural Gas Workers (NUPENG), commenced a three-day nationwide warning strike earlier today over unresolved labour issues with multinationals operating in the oil and gas industry.
According to reliable sources, NUPENG is undergoing strike the second time over the same issue hoping the relevant authorities will quickly resolve the issue for them to return to work.
The strike has already begun to affect the economy of the country as the scarcity of fuel looms. One of the members, Chinedu Tom told Coneri Magazine that over time the authorities had failed and that they will stop at nothing to ensure their outstanding issues are resolved.
