Experts have predicted that Ekiti Elections will be bloody owing to the rumor that the president, Muhammadu Buhari has planted machineries to rig the election in favor of the All Progressive Alliance(APC) in the state. They claimed the president has sent over 30,000 police officers and other military and paramilitary forces to the state to enable him achieve his objective.On other they revealed Gov. Fayose has also put modalities in place to resist or thwart the effort of the president to maneuver the election.
The Ekiti State elections are scheduled for tomorrow with the APC flagbeaer Dr. Kayode Fayemi, a former governor and former minister of Solid Minerals Development ready to battle witth PDP candidate and incumbent Deputy Governor of the state , Professor Kolapo Olusola.
The race is panning out as a two-horse contest between PDP and APC because of their huge membership, financial muscle, spread and strength in the 16 local councils and 177 wards where they have enduring structures.
Although, contrary to the rumor, the fans of the president said that forces moved into Ekiti are to ensure security in the state and not to intimidate the opposition or use them to manipulate results. They submitted that the president is perfect gentleman and will not engage in such.
