MONICA UDOFIA TAKES THE ACTORS GUILD OF NIGERIA TO COURT

Monica Udofia, former factional chairperson of the Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN) Cross River State under Ibinabo led national executive has taken  AGN CRS Chapter to court over alleged conspiracy to hijack her office . In a telephone conversation with  the Chairman of the Cross River State chapter of the guild and popular filmmaker Comr.Jo Esse, Coneri Magazine gathered that Mrs Monica Udofia, who hails from Akwa Ibom  state has become synonymous with fighting AGN leaders in the state right from the time of Hon. Eric Anderson, present Commissioner for Culture and Tourism Development who was then chairman,to Maureen Ekpenyong who was chairperson under Emeka Ike led National Executive and now she has taken the jo Esse led State Executive to  court. The chairman further revealed that many jobs have eluded actors in the state due to leadership  crises rocking the chapter which members claimed is as a result of Monica's insistence to remain in office even when her tenure elapsed earlier in February this year. The Chairman expressed concern over what he described as Monica's purported attempt to remain AGN CRS Chairperson for life. He called on members to resist her antics and selfish tendency to keep the chapter in perpetual division and crises just  to fuel her selfish aspirations. The Chairman announced his strong resolve to fix the mess in the state.

"Just happening:

Sadly, Nigerian US based producer Dozie Ezenachi has just called to tell me how someone in Calabar told him that one Monica Udofia has taken AGN CRS to court.

As such, the US Embassy sponsored film project can't be shot in Calabar again *because of required local casts*

Pls my dear members, that person should have called me first before relating such information to a visiting investor(s).
This is too bad and very unfortunate.

Apart from God and the court, nobody on earth can stop me from moving AGN CRS forward. We have to grow.

God punish anyone who dares to thwart this state chapter.

With all I am putting in???

God punish our enemies.
Anyone attempting to keep us at low-level, God will punish you.

Let the skies brake on you.

With no apologies to anyone

Jo Esse
Chairman
AGN CRS"

In reaction, Mrs Monica Udofia claimed  that her tenure has not elapsed, insisting that she still has four months left  and that Jo Esse would not have held elections since her tenure is still running.

Members have pleaded with Monica Udofia to let peace reign in the guild as they are tired of settling disputes between her and every new executive in the state.

The President Government of National Unity of the Actors Guild of Nigeria His Excellency Emeka Ejezie Rollas has lent his voice to the peace move of Actors Guild of Nigeria Cross River State chapter. According to him the unity and welfare of actors are cardinal to his administration.

" You cannont remain in court while our members are dieing daily, members are raped molested at different locations yet you claim you are in court just because of power! You cant remain in court while you keep collecting money from innocent members without giving them a voice, producers demand money from our members to get roles and no one is fighting for them. The law is an ass, no one on earth has made any meanigful progress using the courts my sister. Before this time every state in Nigeria had two factions of chairmen one for Emeka Ike and another for Ibinabo but since 2017, there is no state in Nigeria that has two factions anymore except in Cross River state. Jobs are going on, ID cards beign issued, insurance certificates issued, members die we organise for their burials and even live some financial supports for thier widows which am sure you have read on this plartform about Mr Bambinos wife who just got 700,000 naira. All these thigns are not magic. If you continue to drag cross river state backwards its only them that will suffer the set backs not me nor the national. If paradventure your Appeal court decides otherwise may be in 10 years time, one true jist is that AGN was calm in this period of my reign. And I will hand over the remains to whoever the court decides. I am only a carrtaker committe chairman of a govt of national unity who was given full executive powers because the enomorsity of AGN problems. The presidential position was put to vote in Enugu because myself and Emeka Ike were nominated. If Emeka Ike had defeated me in Enugu, he couldnt have gone to join Ibinabo in any lawsuit. My sister free your mind and let posterity be the judge. I have nothing against anybody but determined to give our members the real deal for all their monies AGN has been collecting for years without proper accountability. I am not at war with any one and God bears me witness. Shalom! Ejezie Emeka Rollas National President."

The actress is alleged to have fought both Eric Anderson and Maurene Ekpenyong led executives.
