Actor's Guild: Cross River State chapter holds end of Year meeting, celebrate achievements of the Jo Esse Led Exco

The Cross River State chapter of the Actor's Guild of Nigeria AGN held her last general meeting of the Year 2019 on the 28th of November at the Cultural Center complex, Calabar. The meeting which started by 4PM began with opening prayer by comr. Starro Eno the PRO ended in a grand style. The Secretary Comr Ekpedeme Moses through the Executive read out the agenda of the meeting and was duly adopted by the house. He however thanked members for their unalloyed support in 2019, as they contributed positively to the success story recorded by the Jo Esse led administration. Thus stating that the executive are keenly focused in redeeming their campaign promises. The previous minutes was read,few corrections made as was adopted by the house.
HIGHLIGHTS:
Members were addressed about the just concluded national election that was held in Uyo, thus producing the Undisputable National Executive led by Comrade Prince Emeka Ejezie Rollas. Members were also briefed about the laudable programs launched several programs like the Radio drama project, the short films project meant for awards, training and retraining programs at the state chapter. etc. He urged members to take active part in this designed programs. Members were admonished to dissuade themselves from fraudulent and illegal productions, hence insisting on contract forms. To this effect , Agn Crosd River Press Release on Illegal productions was read to the consumption of all. The Task force members were specially recognized and given encomiums on the job well done for the year, as 2020 promises to be more fruitful. Members and intending members were encouraged to take advantage of registration and revalidation exercise which remains at 18,500, #3,500 and annual dues of #2,500 respectively.
Members were further briefed about their I'd card and will power. The Gorilla presentation on the Carnival theme of Humanity is to be displayed on the 4 Carnival days in December. Comr Ekpedeme urged members active participation as this will keep actors busy, create positive fan base and attract government presence. Several reactions were made but anchored most on Sustaining the Short films project amongst others.
Members were encouraged to pray and visit comrade Ekpo Daniel on his Ill health.
Conclusively, members were once more appreciated by the executive as motions for adjournment were moved. But before the meeting ended, Comr Eriacy Confidence Oba was recognized by the house. Comr Starro ENO passed to the general house Fad360TV job opportunity and the inauguration of Screen writers Guild of Nigeria in the state.
