PDP Chapter CHAIRMAN Of Abi, Makes Press Release To Party Members Over The Defection Of The Governor.

 The Chapter Chairman of the People's Democratic Party in Abi Local Government Area, Comrade Victor Emmanuel Bassey has made a press release to immobile the Credence Of members of the people's Democratic party in Abi Local Government Area,

The people's Democratic Party(PDP) Abi Local Government Chapter,

The Chapter Chairman said,

At every point in human existence, there has always been a fight too important to forget, a goal too vital to ignore and a vision too clear to be an illusion,Yet the difference between humans is not the struggle but the drive behind the goal! 

The Question Is?

Is the goal for self or society? 

Is the struggle vested on good moral transparency, good conscience, justice and equity?

 This common antique distinguishes a good fight from a selfish and foolish intent.

My dear people of Abi, it is no more news that the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Cross River State has been reshaped and henceforth adorned with a new face. This follows the defection of the Governor, senator(Prof) Ben Ayade from the people's Democratic party(PDP) to the All Progressives Congress (APC) which we wish him well as a people.

Consequent upon this, I again urge all our party faithful, stalwarts, members and leaders across the 10 wards of Abi LGA as well as the Chapter officers and supporters to be calm and remain dedicated to the PDP, while we await further directives and renewed measures from the State Caretaker Committee.

Note that the future is great and promising for us in PDP.

In the interim, please be confidently assured and be resolute too, that the Governor's defection does not invalidate your status as a party member nor does it have any jittering or consequential effect to make you lose balance, loyalty and commitment to the PDP as it's time to prove ourselves as democrats in the field of play and to remain focused and united like never before. 

 Remember also that individually and collectively, our destiny is in our hands as the 2023 drama has begun. This is just a step, as lot more shall confront us. We must discountenance the untoward invitations to defect with them.

 Accordingly, we should not be distracted or be doomed to follow any avowed detractors away from the PDP, which is what we toiled for and pledged to support and sustain , bearing in mind that, we can't afford to voluntarily drift or be coersed to drift with the woods. 

Again, Abi is not just strong in her solidarity to the peoples democratic party but has a lot to offer as the treasure base of Cross River State PDP. 

Abi is currently positioned as the lighthouse of PDP and has earned the enviable reputation as Leader of the party through our father, *Sen. Liyel Imoke.* 

Therefore, this is not the time for uncalculatedly unreasonable and unprofitable gallivanting or cross- carpeting. We , the Abi people and PDP in particular must ensconce by putting our eyes on the ball as one indivisible family.

This moment is a test case. A test case of our stability. It is a test case of whom we really are and what we stand for. I urge all to find shelter in the one accommodating umbrella of the Peoples Democratic Party. 

With God on our side, we shall win. And we shall conquer Cross River State, brethren if we stand firm in defense of the victory we have as members of the rulling party in Cross River State.

This defecction was made manifest to prove the power of God in favour of the people to take charge.
