Cross River Deputy Governor Inspects Projects In Obubra, Commends Dr Bassey Tom For The Achievements

Prof. Esu who moved round the projects sites today December 7th, 2021 said the Council Chairman Dr Bassey Tom has done well to embark on people oriented projects such as Health Centres, Market stalls and Recreational Center amongst others. The Deputy Governor told the people that his mission was not a political tour or campaign movement, but to ensure that the money given to the Chairmen were used judiciously on the projects approved for them to undertake. He added that what he has seen on ground in Obubra was commendable and urged the Chairman Dr Bassey Tom to do more for his people.

Speaking, the Council Chairman, Dr Bassey Agara Tom said he was moved by passion for the people to embark on such projects that will be beneficial to them. The Chairman went further to the disclose that there were many abandoned projects in the LGA that  were begging for attention, hence his determination to revamp them. He said he would continue to do his best to bring succour to the people of Obubra, knowing that the people deserve the best. The Chairman thanked his Excellency Prof. Esu for taking time to inspect the projects in different places of the LGA.

Dr Bassey Tom undertook projects that are people oriented and beneficial to the people such as, Health Centres in Ogurude and Ofat Communities, Market Stalls in Ochon and Iyamoyong Communities, Recreational Center in Obubra Junction, Council Stores, and Renovation of Council Secretariat.

The Deputy Governor was accompanied by the Commissioner for Local Government Affairs, Hon Stella Odey, Special Advisers, Special Assistants and a host of others.
