Ogada Day 2021: Benson Okpa Abam Foundation Supports Ogada Day With Sports Kits, Wishes Etobha A Successful Celebration
Benson Okpa Abams Foundation, a non-governmental and Humanitarian organization has used the occasion of the just concluded Ogada Day 2021 to donate two kits of Jerseys to the two football teams in Ogada community of Obubra LGA, Cross River State. This was in support of the sports activities of the Ogada Day 2021.
The items were presented to the football teams through Etobha Ch' Ogada Global at the kick off point of the carnival - Dr Eyaba Memorial Girls Secondary School, Obubra on 25th November, 2021.
Mrs. Beatrice Akonjom who presented the sports items on behalf of the foundation said the purpose for the donation was to extend the Foundation's altruistic gesture and express delight on Etobha Ch' Ogada for organizing such an insightful and laudable event at a time when the pursuit for peaceful coexistence amongst the people ought to be at its apex, especially as the event also paved way for the youths to showcase their talents to the world through sports activities.
Thus, the Benson Okpa Abams Foundation deemed it appropriate to contribute towards the achievement in other to encourage the youths to stair up their God's given talents which according to Mrs. Akonjom, could also aid the youths in their quest for attaining greater heights in the global space.
Mrs. Akonjom betoned the aims of the foundation to include Education, Wealth Creation and Community Development etc. She also used the opportunity to wish Etobha Ch' Ogada a successful carnival and a hitch free Ogada Day celebration.
The National President of Etobha Ch' Ogada Global, Eld. Patrick Ijimanjim Obasse JP who received the kits of Jerseys at the kick of point of the already booming and glamorous carnival, expressed utmost joy as he thanked the Benson Okpa Abams Foundation for the donation. He encouraged the organization not to relent in its quest to building a better society through its ultruistic and Humanitarian services.
At the event also were, Pst. Dr. Walter Ajogbor mni, JP, Bishop Elect-Chris Obasse, Dr. Ben Ajogbor and Mrs. Agnes Usang amongst others.
