Sen. Gershom Bassey Gain Support From The Cross River Youth Advocates.

 

Ahead of the 2023 general Elections, an aspirant for the Governorship position of Cross River State, contesting under the platform of the peoples Democratic party, Sen. Gershom Bassey has toured round the local Government areas of the central Senatorial district of Cross River State to declare his interest as well as seek their support for his Governorship aspiration in 2023.

In his team of supports was a unique outing by a group known as  Cross River Youth advocates who affirmed, they have endorsed Sen. Gershom Bassey as their Governorship candidate and are ready to support his campaign and election activities to become Governor of Cross River State in 2023.

Speaking on behalf of the group, the chief of staff to the State chairman of the National Youth Council Of Nigeria, Cross River State chapter, Comr. Samaro Irek said, the group is not a support group but a pressure and advocacy group as the youth is a Constituency of herself and has a strong voice in the leadership choice of the state, saying that the Cross River Youths are unfaltering in their support for Sen. Gershom Bassey to become Governor of Cross River State.

He further said, Sen. Gershom Bassey apart from his gratifying performance in the house of Senate as senator representing the southern Senatorial district of Cross River State is a model of surpassing leadership and has maintained amity and complaisance with the youths of Cross River State which has availed them several platforms of interaction to engage him and know the behooving offers he has for Cross Riverians when he becomes Governor.

Speaking on zoning, Comr.samaro affirmed that the  Cross River Youths Advocates totally support zoning in the state and the return of Governorship to the southern Senatorial district as Cross River has maintained this polity in past aministrations which is pivotal to the peace, orderliness and intensive progress the state has enjoyed over the years and as such will not be altered at this time when the state needs intense repairs from the damages it is suffering from the present day loathsome administration, iterating that they will not be part of any flagitious ambition of depriving the south of Governorship come 2023.

In an affirmative statement, Comr. Samaro Irek declared that the Cross River Youth Advocates have taken a position to support Governor Gershom Bassey to become Governor of Cross River State In 2023, to avail him vast opportunity to embelish the state and restore her lost glory while saying that as Oliver twist, they will keep asking for more as they are appealing to sen. Gershom to make the youths his anteriority In the administration of Cross River State when he becomes Governor.
