Odey Tasks Internal Auditors And Other Assurance Providers To Complement Government's Effort In The Fight Against Corruption 

Cross River born Local Government development expert and certified forensic Accountant/Auditor, Elder Dr. Ndoma Odey, has urged colleagues to complement government's efforts in the fight against corruption. 

Odey made this call on Thursday during the 'Preventive Anti-Corruption Strategies Workshop for Internal Auditors and other Assurance Providers held at Heiz Continental Hotel, Abuja. 

The workshop, with the theme" towards an inclusive fight against corruption in Nigeria: ethical standards and anti-corruption strategies for internal auditors and other assurance providers" was organised by the Society for West African Internal Audit Practitioners(SWAIAP) as a way of mobilising and organising internal auditors and other assurance providers for a concerted fight against corruption. 

The renowned accountant who  commended SWAIAP for the initiative, highlighting the role of internal auditors and assurance providers and engaging them in advancing the anti-corruption fight,  described corruption as the bane of underdevelopment in the country, stressing that for the nation to succeed, all hands must be on deck.
