The election, held on Friday, December 1, 2023 at the Navy Officers Mess, Calabar marked a turning point for the association, aiming to restore peace and progress. Comrade Abang, the immediate interim chairman, secured victory as his main contender, Excellence Petroleum, gracefully stepped down from the race.
