C'River, A'Ibom Resolve Inter-State Transport Disputes, Partner To Address Challenges Faced By Commercial Drivers In Both States JOINT COMMUNIQUÉ: RESOLUTION OF INTER-STATE TRANSPORT ISSUES BETWEEN CROSS RIVER AND AKWA IBOM STATES The Cross River State Commercial Transport Regulatory Agency (CTRA) and the Akwa Ibom State Ministry of Transport have successfully resolved inter-state transport issues affecting commercial drivers in both states. Background Commercial vehicles branded with either state's logo were being apprehended by enforcement agencies, prompting the need for a collaborative solution. To address this, CTRA Chairman Mr. Efa Effiong Nyong and Akwa Ibom State's Honorable Commissioner of Transport, Hon. Orman Esin, convened an emergency meeting with stakeholders from both states. CTRA To Commence Operations In The Central Senatorial District on October 2, 2024 The chairman of the Cross River Commercial Transportation Agency (CTRA), Efa Nyong, has announced that the agency will officially begin operations in Ikom and other LGAs of the Central Senatorial District on October 2, 2024.  Nyong made the announcement during a meeting with key stakeholders in the transportation sector in İkom, the zonal headquarters, which included heads of the various transport unions, public and private park operators, security agencies, government representatives, traditional rulers and other local leaders.
