C'River State Govt Strengthens Partnership with National Directorate of Employment (NDE)

The Cross River State Government, through the Department of Wealth creation and Job Placements, has strengthened its collaboration with the National Directorate of Employment,(NDE) with the aim of boosting employment opportunities for residents of the state.

Speaking during a meeting with the Cross River State office of NDE, the Special Adviser to Governor Otu on Wealth Creation and Job Placement, Comrade Bright Ewona, commended all its staff for their continued drive towards the actualization of its mandate of Poverty alleviation, Employment generation and wealth creation, assuring of the state's partnership and cooperation in ensuring a brighter future for the people of Cross River State.

Ewona maintained that the department under his custody is focused on ensuring that the state maximazes its share of the national employment initiatives and urged the Cross River State office of the agency to ensure that the state fully benefits from its various programs and schemes.

"We had a robust discussion that bothers on filling the CRS quarter of employment at the National level," stated Comrade Ewona. "This partnership is vital to Governor Otu administration's commitment to creating sustainable jobs and empowering our citizens. And we feel that by working closely with the NDE, we can ensure that Cross Riverians have access to the resources and opportunities they need to thrive."

The special adviser further reiterated Governor Otu's dedication to addressing unemployment challenges in the state, fostering economic growth through strategic partnerships and targeted initiatives. He said the synergy between the Department of Wealth Creation and Job Placement and the NDE is expected to streamline the process of connecting job seekers with available opportunities, enhance skills development programs, and promote entrepreneurship within the state.

While welcoming the SA and staff of the department of Wealth creation and Job placement to his office, the coordinator of NDE, Cross River State branch, Mr Udam Gabriel Ugeshi,  commended the government of Cross River State, under the leadership of Sen. Prince Bassey Edet Otu for its sustained commitment for job creation and provision of sustainable opportunities for Cross Riverians. He also thanked Comrade Ewona and staff of the department for their Commitment to the course, assuring of the agency's cooperation in ensuring increasing Cross River State's representation in national employment schemes. He also promised to ensure that more Cross Riverans benefit from the vocational training and skills acquisition programs as well as have access to micro-finance and entrepreneurship support.
