Obubra Celebrates Leading Philanthropist, Dubest Nsayan Ogar and Son on Their Birthday
The people of Obubra Local Government Area have showered love and encomiums on philanthropist and emerging leader, Dubest Nsayan Ogar, on his birthday, which coincides with that of his eldest son.
In their various messages shared on WhatsApp, Facebook and other social media platforms, the leaders, youths and women groups, political associates, friends and family members, expressed admiration for his strong, refined and inspiring personality, acknowledging his unquantifiable contributions to education, community development, and the progress of young people in the LGA and state.
In a statement released earlier today, in favour of the celebrant, and signed by its secretary, the All Progressives Congress (APC), Obubra chapter, praised Ogar's selfless and visionary leadership, describing his 2025 chairmanship aspiration as a well intentioned political move that could not see the light of day and expressed confidence and hope in his continued leadership and dedication to service.
The party noted that his philanthropy has impacted countless lives, particularly, his scholarship program which has aided indigent students and provided financial support for university lecturers during strikes. It went on to urge him not to relent in his support for individuals and groups that rely largely on his magnanimity for survival.
Meanwhile, earlier in his Facebook post, Ogar expressed gratitude for the support he has received and the privilege of sharing his birthday with his son. “March 14 is a significant date for me and my family—not just because it's my birthday, but because my first child was born on the same day. For me, it is a blessing,” he said. He also attributed his success to the support of those who believe in his work, calling them “the gift of men.”
Beyond politics, Nsiyan Ogar is widely recognized for his empowerment programs, particularly in Iyamoyong Ward and across Obubra. His initiatives have provided crucial support to students, educators, and other community members facing economic hardship and this is the reason his birthday was like some sort of carnival, with people showering him with many gifts, calls and messages!
I therefore join millions of well wishers to say a Happy Birthday to the Father Christmas of Obubra!
