The Deputy Chief of Staff to the Governor of Cross River State, Hon. Boniface Okache, has extended heartfelt congratulations to the Chief of Staff, Hon. Dr. Emmanuel Bassey Ironbar, on the conferment of an Honorary Doctorate Degree in Policy and Administrative Studies by Crown University, Delaware, USA, in collaboration with the Centre for Public Service Productivity and Development.

Hon. Okache, who was among the dignitaries present at the colourful ceremony held in Lagos on Friday, described the award as a well-deserved honour for a man who has consistently distinguished himself in the service of the state and nation.

“This recognition is a well-deserved honour for a man whose commitment to service has inspired many and brought pride not only to Cross River State but to the nation at large. Dr. Ironbar is a visionary leader whose humility and passion for development continue to set the standard in governance,” Hon. Okache said.

The Deputy Chief of Staff further reaffirmed the unwavering commitment of the Governor’s team to the People First Agenda of His Excellency, Apostle Senator (Prince) Bassey Edet Otu, and praised Dr. Ironbar’s role as a pillar of support and a model of responsible leadership within the administration.

The honorary degree is the latest in a growing list of prestigious recognitions bestowed on Dr. Ironbar, including his recent award as Nigeria’s Best Chief of Staff and the conferment of the traditional title "Uburo Oboon of Mkpot" in Obubra Local Government Area, symbolizing his deep grassroots connection and respected community leadership.

Also in attendance at the Lagos event were notable dignitaries, including the spouse of the awardee, Elder Dr. Mrs. Virginia Emmanuel Ironbar, members of the National and State Assemblies, Commissioners, Council Chairmen, and several top government officials, all of whom gathered to honour Dr. Ironbar’s legacy of excellence in public service.
