The Member representing Obubra/Etung Federal Constituency, Rt. Hon. Mike Etaba, on Saturday inspected the ongoing construction of the Emergency Healthcare Facility at Apiapum Community in Obubra Local Government Area of Cross River State, as the project nears completion.

The healthcare facility, facilitated by the lawmaker, marks another significant milestone in his commitment to improving healthcare infrastructure and expanding access to quality emergency medical services across the constituency.

Designed to strengthen emergency response and healthcare delivery, the facility will be equipped with a fully functional ambulance to ensure prompt medical intervention and the swift transportation of patients during emergencies. Although construction commenced barely one month ago, the project has recorded remarkable progress, reflecting the commitment of the contractor and Rt. Hon. Mike Etaba's determination to deliver impactful constituency projects on schedule.

During the inspection, Rt. Hon. Mike Etaba assessed the pace and quality of work and commended the engineering team for their professionalism, dedication, and commitment to delivering a standard healthcare facility. He expressed satisfaction with the quality of work executed so far and urged the contractors to maintain the high standards until completion.

The federal lawmaker also reviewed the project's comprehensive design and implementation plan, expressing satisfaction with its strategic scope and execution. He noted that although some people initially doubted the project's feasibility, the rapid progress achieved has reaffirmed his commitment to fulfilling the promises he made to the people of Obubra/Etung Federal Constituency

Speaking during the inspection, the Councillor representing Apiapum Council Ward, Hon. Coolest Sunday, commended the lawmaker for his people-centred leadership and firm commitment to delivering projects that directly improve the lives of his constituents. He said the facility would significantly reduce emergency response times, improve access to urgent medical care, and enhance healthcare service delivery for residents of Obubra and neighbouring LGAs upon completion and prayed for God's continued wisdom, strength, and guidance upon the lawmaker as he continues to provide quality representation and sustainable development across the constituency.

Hon. Sunday also assured Rt. Hon. Mike Etaba that the Apiapum community would take full ownership of the facility by safeguarding it against vandalism and ensuring that it is properly maintained for the benefit of present and future generations.
