KALIKOG Nigeria Limited Commences Operations in Calabar, Offers Loans at 5% Interest, 10% Referral Bonus
KALIKOG Nigeria Limited, a financial services and business development firm, has officially commenced operations in Calabar, Cross River State, with a promise to provide accessible financial solutions to individuals, entrepreneurs and businesses across the state.
The company, located at 20B Diamond Hill, opposite AME Zion Church Calabar, offers lending services, business training and consulting services tailored to Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), as well as large-scale businesses.
Speaking in an interview with Coneri Blog, the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Kalikog Nigeria Limited, Bishop Bassey, Usene Etekpi, described the company as a one-stop financial solutions provider established to bridge the financing gap faced by many Cross Riverians. He said the company provides lending, training and consulting services designed to empower individuals and businesses while creating opportunities for economic growth.
Bishop Bassey, who previously served as Managing Director/CEO at First Royal Microfinance Bank and held strategic positions in Ekondo Microfinance Bank, both in Cross River State, said Kalikog is leveraging his more than two decades of experience in the financial sector to deliver customer-friendly financial services.
According to him, Kalikog Nigeria Limited currently offers loans at a competitive 5 percent interest rate while rewarding customers and partners with a 10 percent referral bonus, creating additional income opportunities for those who refer new clients.
He explained that his decision to resign from the banking sector was driven by a desire to replicate the knowledge and experience he had acquired over the years by building a financial institution that prioritises the needs of entrepreneurs, workers and small businesses.
Although the company has been in operation for only three months, Bishop Bassey said it has already begun making a significant impact by helping individuals and businesses overcome financial challenges.
"We are committed to making access to finance easier for Cross Riverians. Our goal is to support businesses, create opportunities and contribute to the economic growth of the state through flexible and customer-focused financial services," he said.
The financial expert, who hails from Biase Local Government Area, attributed the company's early success to its people-oriented policies and simplified lending process. He disclosed that Kalikog Nigeria Limited provides loan facilities to MSMEs, civil servants, public servants and other qualified applicants without the cumbersome collateral requirements often associated with conventional lending institutions.
According to the immediate past Chairman, National Association of Microfinance Bank (NAMB) Cross River State Chapter cum former Secretary General, National Association of Microfinance Bank (NAMB) South South Zone, eligible public only need a valid National Identification Number (NIN), six months' bank statement and two guarantors to access loans ranging from ₦500,000 to ₦1 million, with approvals processed within 24 hours.
He added that the repayment period ranges from six months to one year, depending on the loan package and agreement with the client.
Bishop Bassey further revealed that the name Kalikog was coined from the three major cities representing Cross River State's three senatorial districts such as Calabar, Ikom and Ogoja, reflecting the company's vision of serving the entire state.
He said the company plans to expand its operations to all 18 Local Government Areas of Cross River State, bringing affordable financial services closer to the people and helping to address the financial challenges facing individuals, entrepreneurs and businesses across the state.
Expressing confidence in the company's future, Bishop Bassey said Kalikog Nigeria Limited would continue to introduce innovative financial products and services that will empower businesses, create employment opportunities and contribute meaningfully to the socio-economic development of Cross River State.
