The battle for who becomes the next Governor of Cross River State has taken a new dimension as the All Progressive Congress (APC) struggles to take over the mantle of leadership of the state from the  People's Democratic Party(PDP). In both the People's Democratic Party (PDP) and the All progressive Congress (APC),  many candidates have indicated interests to run for the highly exalted office  in the state. As the APC cook up their plans to overthrow the ruling party, the PDP too are working tirelessly to retain the seat.
