Yala-Obubra community Association YOBUCA, Calabar chapter has elected a new executive to pilot the affairs of the union. According to the information made available on the WhatsApp loop of the Association, Mr Oba Akasi emerged President while the names of other members elected have not been made public.

We earlier reported that YOBUCA, an acronym formerly associated with Yala -Obubra People resident in Calabar has been adopted by all the sons and daughters of Yala -Obubra the world over in a general meeting conveyed in the community last year after the death of Dr Matthew Achigbe, former Chairman of the All Progressive Congress Cross River State chapter. The meeting which had in attendance almost all well meaning indigenes of the community witnessed the formal formation of YOBUCA, an organization designed for the welfare of the people of Yala. Coneri Magazine gathered from a reliable source that the association is warming up to conduct a general election for the office of the President General and other executive members of the general assembly.
