Cross River Commissioner for Humanity and social Welfare, Hon. Mrs Blessing Egbara yesterday the 2nd of January 2020 met with the management staff and heads of departments of  the ministry.

Mrs Egbara who was received by the Permanent Secretary, Mr Takon Asu Takon and Directors in the Ministry, expressed satisfaction in their warmth reception and in the mature manner all the staff conducted themselves during the meeting, revealing that she had resumed duty since 25th of December 2019 and had summoned the meeting to formally meet and interact with stakeholders of the ministry, in view to knowing their challenges and ways forward.

This was followed by an intensive meeting with the entire management staff and heads of departments of the ministry in her office  during which Mrs Egbara restated Gov. Ayade's commitment to improving the welfare of the people of the state and in advancing his philosophy of humanity which she said was the reason for the creation of the ministry.

She said the ministry of humanity and social welfare was new hence the need for  all hands to be on deck to enable the Governor achieve his aim.

After painstakingly listening to the presentation of the Manager of Project Hope, Mr Herbert O. The commissioner as well  promised to draw the governor's attention to the plight of the ministry while  charging them to be dedicated to their duties as the only language she understands is work and more work.

She said her office is open to suggestions and ideas that would help the ministry achieve its set objectives in line with the Governor's vision for creating the ministry.

Both Federal and state Government's initiatives aimed at impacting lives and improving  the welfare of the people such as the Ayadecare, project hope, school feeding programmes and others were identified to be strategic in driving Sir Ayade's vision of transforming the state.

The Commissioner while appreciating the management staff and heads of departments, appealed for their contributions and sacrifices for the sustainability of the ministry.
