Era of Humanity: Sir Ayade and wife declared King and queen of humanity, donate car, food items to the aged, orphans

The Honourable commissioner for Humanity and Social Welfare, Hon. Mrs. Blessing Egbara has declared the Cross River State Governor Sir Ben Ayade and his amiable wife Dr Linda Ayade as the King and Queen of humanity.


Mrs Egbara made the declaration yesterday  during the birthday  celebration of her Excellency, Wife of the Governor Dr Linda Ayade at the Pope John Paul old people's home  calabar.

Mrs Egbara who christened the event as the celebration of  humanity pledged to use her Ministry to celebrate her Excellency's birthday and service to humanity in 2020.

Highlight of the celebration was the presentation of a car gift and food items worth millions of Naira by Her Excellency, Wife of the Governor, Dr Linda Ayade to the sister in charge of the orphanage.



The event was attended by creme de la creme women of Cross River State including Wife of the deputy Governor, Mrs Omotunde Ivara Esu, Wife of the Speaker of the Cross River State House of Assembly, Wife of the deputy speaker, wife of the state chairman of the ruling People's Democratic Party, Wives of members of the Cross River State House of Assembly, Wives of all the commissioners, all female commissioners, all female lawmakers in the state and a host of others. The event culminated in a festival of love, had all women pouring encomiums on her Excellency.

In appreciation for the level of love demonstrated towards her, the first lady, Mrs Ayade while thanking all for abandoning their duties at home to honour her, described all the women in the state as a very strong support system to her and the administration of Gov. Ben Ayade. She pledged to continue to fight for increased participation of women in the political space especially under the gender friendly administration of Sir Ben Ayade.
