OBUBRA: A NATION DEEPLY IN LOVE WITH BETRAYAL

OBUBRA: A NATION DEEPLY IN LOVE WITH BETRAYAL

....Desmond Cruz.

If as an Obubra son/daughter you believe the notion that the political bickering and crisis rocking Obubra is actually being orchestrated by *EXTERNAL INFLUENCE/FACTOR*, then is obvious you don't know the whole truth or maybe you just  choose to suffer *Selective Amnesia*. I read with utter dismay a write up posted by one of my kinsman, wherein he alleged that all the political leaders ever produced from/in Obubra were all products of *Imposition* by non-obubra indigenes. To underscore his point, a roll call of past leaders and their alleged political godfathers (Imposers) was published.

Now, my mission here is to categorically state that the greatest problem Obubra have is not POLITICAL IMPOSITION but SELFISHNESS AND BETRAYAL. It is important to understand that the system of politics obtainable in Nigeria allows a political party to interfere in the affairs of it's members from the Ward to the National Level in the event of any *internal crisis or squabble*. In this case, external influence becomes inevitable, but where there is no such squabble amongst the locales/ members, external influence becomes either limited or nonexistent. Hence, it is safe to say that if we claim that all our leaders where products of Imposition, it means we are not saying the truth because no political party would reject a candidate unanimously adopted by almost all the constituents. Our Problem still remain *PULL HIM DOWN SYNDROME* where an Obubra son would rather trade/betray his own blood brother and then expect that the person you sold your brother to, will trust you with a political position. How is that possible? Remember, *A man who sell his brother, cannot be trusted even by the buyer*.

Power and position comes from God, it does not depend on how much fight you put in, if not how can one explain the fact that *Ababene ward* even without Governorship result in the last election, remain one of the greatest beneficiary of this current administration with Hon Peter Egbe, Fidelis Obo and Oxford Egbe as major beneficiaries. How can one explain the fact that Hon. (Mrs) Blessing Egbara that Voted and retired peaceably to her home was meritoriously appointed as commissioner even when some persons that claim to be big politicians slept in INEC office, snatched ballot boxes, fought in polling units and upturned their opponent's results just to favour their own political party, have nothing to show for it.

The same Obubra leaders that had the opportunity of helping others grow to prominence, were the ones fighting them. I know of an Obubra illustrious son that had the privilege to climb to the level of a director in a financial institution, yet could not influence even a position as menial as Cleaner or security guard for any Obubra son/daughter to work. Today they are everywhere claiming to be leaders and fighting those they are suppose to protect.

Obubra must first learn to stop betraying and fighting themselves, for no nation grow by fighting itself. I know almost all the people that fought against Obubra Interest in last year election that are currently regretting it today.
As a leader, do not fight someone you think is helpless today. *DO NOT FIGHT SOMEONE YOU THINK IS A POLITICAL ORPHAN*, always allow the will of the Masses to prevail, *FOR WHATSOEVER A MAN SOW, THAT IS WHAT HE SHALL REAP* once that is achieved, there will not be anything like External influence anymore and Obubra Nation will be taken serious in the political affairs of the State.

God bless Obubra Nation.

*My Name is Desmond Cruz, and I hope am not talking too much.*
