Calabar Itu Bridge.. A panacea or mirage

As other bridges created by the Federal government to facilitate interstate movements, the Calabar Itu bridge has over the years served that purpose of its creation.

Its existence arising from the promises of the Nigerian civil war has been long justified, as it severed a panacea to the country's economy.

Unarguably, the elasticity of this bridge is however questionable as at the time of filing this report. The bridge is in a devastating shape as lives and properties of its users are at stake. Cracks, weight balancing, and carriage are queried and calls for urgent maintainance of the bridge.

Relevant government authorities need to swing into action to arrest the  menace that may evolve from poor maintainance of Calabar Itu bridge.
