In practical fulfilment of his desire to effectively mobilize the youthful population of Cross River State for active participation in the political process, the Cross River State Commissioner for Finance and front line gubernatorial aspirant under the platform of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), Mr. Asuquo Ekpenyong, has commenced his tour of the northern senatorial zone with a scheduled visit to stakeholders in Obanliku Local Government Area.

In a carnival like procession, the gubernatorial hopeful visited the people of the area in the various places scheduled to host the meetings with the one core message of getting themselves registered for the up coming general elections in not only Cross River State governorship elections but also in other elections as well. Mr. Ekpenyong focused particularly on the youths and drew their attention to the goings on in the country where younger people are increasingly and daily getting involved in the political process. He noted that for the youth to fulfill their yearning ambitions of electing their choice into public offices, they, too, must heed his wise counsel and get themselves registered for the onerous task ahead.

Mr. Ekpenyong went down memory lane to assure the youths that nothing good comes easy and they should not be discouraged by the present political and economic woes in the country, noting that in due course, the present socio-economic conditions will give way to a more vibrant and robustly beneficial era of prosperity.

He also assured the youths of his avowed preparedness to harness their budding potentials if given the opportunity, promising that their priorities will not be misplaced. The sensitization visit will cover the entire 18 Local Government Areas of the state and it has been embarked upon beginning with Obanliku Local Area Of Cross River State.
