C'River: Creation of Local Council Development Authority/Community Development Association: Renowned LG Admin Expert, Dr. Ndoma Odey Meets LG Affairs Commissioner, Says Proposal Critical For Grassroots Development
The Honourable Commissioner for Local Government Affairs, Cross River State, Chief Felix Idem, on Wednesday, hosted Elder Dr. Odey Ndoma, a renowned certified forensics accountant/auditor and local government administration expert in his office. It was a great opportunity for both to meet again and discuss important matters as well as renew their long-term friendship. The purpose of the visit was to brief the new commissioner on the progress of the Bill for the creation of a Local Council Development Authority and Community Development Association. According to Odey, the Bill will play a significant role in fostering development at the grassroots and enhancing local government administration.
This is the core, if development must get to the grass roots. I salute Dr Ndoma Odey. May you live long. And may Chief Felix Idem, commissioner for local government affairs, find favour in this proposal and cause government of cross River State to approve and implement the programme. Amen.
ReplyDeleteUntill this sector becomes autonomous, any good plans towards developing our community will not work. If our local government councils are not allowed to work, is it the development council they will allow? This is what is causing the insecurity in the country. May God help us. I salute Mr Ndoma Odey.
