 C'River Humanitarian Commissioner Rescues Yet Another Child.


About Yesterday, the 22nd August, 2023, In a very spontaneous manner of response, through the directive of her Honourable Commissioner Dr. Helen Isamoh Egodo, directed the Permanent Secretary Mrs Mbong Atu, was able to swift into immediate attention to rescue a mentally dement lady with her baby at King Duke off Palm Street, Calabar.


Upon arriving at the scene to rescue the situation, the community leader, Chief Eyo Nsa (Esq) and other residents extolled and commended the swift response and approach of the team from the Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs, one which they described as the first of it's kind, thanking His Excellency Sen. Prince Bassey Otu, through the Humanitarian Ministry for creating such enabling  environment, thereby making the state inhabitable due to it's obvious prompt response. 


The mentally derange lady and her baby were relocated to the motherless home for further care and possible rehabilitation. 


The Honourable Commissioner, in her mantra said; "the sole meaning of public service is service to humanity." As evidenced by this resolve is her dedication and time for the sole purpose of giving hope, life and succour to the downtrodden, vulnerable and less privilege in the society. She remains entirely grateful to the Governor of Cross River State for the opportunity given.
