The All Progressive Congress APC Candidate for the 2019 Governorship Elections in Cross River State, Senator John Owan Enoh has refuted claims by Conference  of Nigeria Political Parties CNPP led by its Chairman Sunday Michael, Cross River State Chapter that he is in a feud with  Pastor Usani Uguru Usani, former Minister for Niger Delta and factional Candidate of the same party in the last Elections. In a statement released by his Publicity Relations Consultant, Missang Oyama, Owan said such a rumor is not only misleading but also intended to hoodwink and cajole CrossRiverians and indeed the leadership of the APC into believing that there's a feud between them. He however admitted that there have been attempts  to drag him into a media war by what he described as enemies of the party but maintained that he is not willing and may not be ready for any in the future. He said there is no iota of truth in the report calling on the public to disregard as baseless.

RE: CONFERENCE OF NIGERIA POLITICAL   PARTIES, CROSS RIVER STATE CHAPTER PRESS RELEASE.

We have read with utter dismay a Press Release dated 30th
June, 2019 issued by the Conference of Nigeria Political Parties
(CNPP), Cross River State Chapter. We view the content of the statement as not only misleading but a combination of sheer
meddlesomeness and outright mischief. The intent therein is to hoodwink and cajole Crossriverians and indeed the leadership
of the APC in the country which is their actual target into believing that there is a feud between the distinguished Senator and
the former minister of Niger Delta Affairs, Dr Usani Uguru Usani. What an unconscionable and laughable deceit!

To put it in very unequivocal terms, distinguished Senator John Owan Enoh is not in a feud with anyone in his party, the All
Progressives Congress (APC) whether in the state or at the national level. The distinguished Senator is profoundly at peace with
everyone and has not in any way engaged in a media war with any of the leaders of APC in Cross River State and won’t do so
now or in the foreseeable future. There is no doubt that there have been strenuous attempts to drag the peoples Senator into
an unnecessary contention in the public space. Unfortunately for his traducers, Senator John Owan Enoh in his usual graceful
comportment and unparalleled magnanimity has maintained appreciable restraint and watching with an enviable degree of
calmness the unwarranted onslaught on his person. He believes that this is the sacrifice he has to make for the overall unity of
the party in the state.

The distinguished Senator holds the strong conviction that his party, the APC in Cross River State is in dire leadership strait. And
as the party’s governorship candidate in the last election, it behooves on him to display and provide such leadership. The
Senator is building bridges within the party and he has effectively closed ranks with all those who participated in the last
governorship primaries which were conducted by the 7 man committee constituted by the National Working Committee as
enshrined in the APC constitution. He can’t be distracted for any conceivable reason because in his thoughts, the beauty of
democracy is in the plurality of opinions and virile opposition.

The distinguished Senator embodies the finest tradition of our politics and he considers everyone as absolutely deserving of
dignified treatment. So we view this new dimension as projected by the Conference of Nigeria Political Parties as an effort in
bad faith with a premeditated agenda to foist a non-existing feuding toga on two leading lights of APC in Cross River State and
cast them in bad light. Again, we are convinced that the disposition of the CNPP led by its current State Chairman, Sunday
Michael at this time is simply acting an undesirable script. Unfortunately for the Chairman and his team, their agenda has failed
on arrival because the Senator is at a distance from this booby-trap. He is several miles apart and won’t want to be seen in the
light of having an issue to grind or scores to settle with anyone because there is absolutely none in the first instance. The
purported feud, exist only in the figment of imagination of the fabricators and this is at best illusory.

We therefore call on the teeming supporters of distinguished Senator John Owan Enoh across the length and breadth of Cross
River State and beyond, the leadership of the APC in the country and members of the public to disregard the statement from
CNPP, Cross River State Chapter. Everyone should be rest assured that the Senator’s present disposition is reconciliatory with
an avowed desire to work with all the leaders of APC in the state and the entire members of the party as a way of moving the
party forward. There is no iota of truth in the CNPP statement. The statement only comes with a huge facility for deception and
every discerning mind should see it as worthless tissues of lies that should be confined in a trash bin where it truly belongs.
God bless Cross River State!
