Red Cross Meets C'River Humanitarian Commissioner, Offers To Train Staff Of The Ministry 

The Red Cross organisation on Tuesday paid a visit to the office of the Honorable Commissioner for Humanitarian Affairs, Dr. Helen Egodo, in Calabar. 

The representative of the organization, Mr. Fortune Inyang, expressed appreciation for being hosted by the honorable commissioner and introduced the staff and their duties. 

Also, Mr. Agbo, a member of the Disaster Unit, congratulated the commissioner on her appointment and discussed plans to set up disaster response teams within Calabar Metropolis. The Head of Training, Mr. Daniel Asuquo, emphasized the importance of staff training on emergency response and highlighted the significant role played by the Red Cross at all levels of government. He pleaded with the commissioner to grant the organization a day for training the ministry's staff. The Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, Mrs. Mbong Atu Ausaji, expressed gratitude for the visit.
