C'River Commissioner For Humanitarian Affairs Engages The staff Of The Ministry, Receives New Permanent Secretary

Yesterday, the Hon Commissioner for Humanitarian Affairs, Dr Helen Isamoh- Egodo had a productive meeting with members of staff, alongside the newly assigned permanent secretary. 

During this important gathering, Dr Egodo emphasized the significance of teamwork and dedication in achieving the shared goal of making a positive impact on the lives of those in need. 

The engagement provided an excellent opportunity for the Commissioner to outline the vision, mandate and strategic objectives of the ministry, further ensuring that everyone is aligned and motivated to work towards a common purpose. 

Welcoming the newly assigned permanent secretary, Mrs Paulina Odey, the  Honouble Commissioner expressed confidence in her, tasked her to bring in her wealth of experience and fresh perspectives to the table.

 Mrs Odey on her part, expressed enthusiasm for joining the ministry and showed her appreciation for the warm reception, urged everyone to stay committed to their roles and responsibilities and emphasizing good work ethics, tolerance and peaceful coexistence.

Reacting on behalf of the entire staff, the deputy director of administration, Mrs Alice Asu welcomed the new permanent secretary and appreciated the commissioner for convening the meeting as it was a significant step towards building a good working relationship, Mrs Asu further explained that such gathering can lead to exchange of ideas for the creation of viable and sustainable solutions.

Collectively, with the Commissioner and the entire staff, everyone pledged their commitment to driving forward the ministry’s initiatives and enhancing humanitarian efforts of the state Government. 

The gathering also served as a platform for open discussions, where ideas and suggestions were shared to foster innovation and improve the effectiveness of humanitarian services in the state as they brainstormed ways to create a more inclusive and sustainable future.
