Special Adviser To The Governor/C'River Focal Person For NSIP, Dr. Mrs Esther Archibong Visits NSIP National Program Managers In Abuja, Seeks Collaboration To Maximize The Impacts Of Gov. Otu's People First Agenda

The Special Advisor to the Governor of Cross River who also double as the Focal Person for the National Social Investment Program (NSIP) in Cross River State, Dr Esther Archibong, embarked on a familiarization visit to the managers of the National Social Investment Program in Abuja. 

The purpose of the visit according to her is threefold: 

Firstly, its for Information Exchange: By engaging with the national program managers, she believes the State can establish an effective channel for sharing information, experiences, and best practices. This exchange she believes will empower Cross River State with up-to-date insights into the strategies, successes, and challenges of each program, allowing the state to tailor it’s  approach more effectively.

Secondly, it’s for Alignment and Synergy: Collaboration according to her, is essential for the success of the NSIP in the state. Through this visit, the state aims to align its efforts with the national programs, ensuring that the strategies are in harmony with the overarching Renewed Hope Agenda of the federal government. This alignment will prevent duplication of efforts and maximize the impact of the People First Agenda of the Cross River State Government.

And lastly, it is for Resource Mobilization: The State recognizes the need for resources to actualize the NSIP in Cross River State fully. The visit according to her, was to further explore opportunities for resource mobilization and potential areas of partnership that can further support the state programs. This includes leveraging the expertise and experiences of the national programs.

The importance of the visit to the actualization of the NSIP in Cross River State cannot be overemphasized. It will foster strong relationships with national Program managers, paving the way for future collaboration. It will also enhance understanding of the NSIP's broader strategies and objectives, enabling the state to fine-tune it’s approach accordingly. Similarly, it will enable the state to access valuable insights and resources that will accelerate the progress of N-Power, Government Enterprise and Empowernment Programme (GEEP), Conditional Cash Transfers (CCT), Home Grown School Feeding Program (HGSFP), and the National Alternate School Program in Cross River State.

National Coordinator NASSCO- Hon. Abdulaziz Danladi

National Cash Transfer Office NCTO Head of office- Dr. Micheal Ajuluchukwu

NCTO Deputy Head of Office- Dr. Janet Ekpenyong

YESSO National Program Manager- Mr. Richard Romanus

NSIP National  Communication manager- Hon Jamalu kaburu

National Programme Manager, National Homegrown School Feeding Programme- Hon. Mrs. Obande

National Programme Manager, Government Enterprise and Empowerment Programme (GEEP) Hon Dr Joseph Nkang.

National Program manager, N-Power- Dr. Akindele Adekunle Egbuwalo.

Renewed Hope IDP Refugees out of School Programme (National Alternate School Programme )- Dr. Mrs Etcheri Ansa/ Hon Regina Anyogo, among others.

Other personalities visited included: the Minister for Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation- Dr. Betta Edu, SSA to the president on Home Grown School Feeding Program - Hon Dr. Adeneyi Yetunde, and the NSIP Monitoring and Evaluation Head- Pst. Suny Otaba .

During the familiarization visit to the national program managers of Npower, GEEP, CCT, HGSFP, NCTO, and the National Alternate School Program, the focal person expressed her pleasure over the program managers dedication and commitment towards the National Social Investment Program (NSIP), and their redness to give their all in the actualization of the Renewed Hope Agenda of the President.
