C'River State Government Unveils Youths' Ambassadors

Today the third day of November 2023, the  government of Cross River State through the Ministry of Youths Development unveiled some carefully selected youths who have succeeded in carving a niche, jumping several huddles and exceptionally standing out in their various fields of  endeavours, from entertainment, entrepreneurship,  education and sports etcetera; acknowledging and crowning them as worthy ambassadors to the teeming youths of Cross River State.

This flagship program, the first of its kind in the ministry of youths is a golden brainchild conceived by the very cerebral, enigmatic, resourceful and resilient commissioner for Youths Development, Hon. Odum-Ijom Ukam, Esq. According to his words, "no manner of motivation is more than showing to Cross Riverian youths their fellow brothers and sisters who had held firm to the conviction of their dreams and so strongly sailed through the ocean tides; surmounted and now standing as major colossus in their chosen fields."*  The honourable Commissioner believes that Cross Riverian youths do not need motivators and role models from America, Canada, Europe nor Lagos whose economy or political indicators are at variance with ours, hence the reason why His Excellency the governor encouraged him to go deeper in sourcing for the local contents amongst us who have succeeded in defining their path and defiling the stereotypical phenomenon associated with Cross River State that you cannot make it here unless you travel (Japa) out and decorating them as worthy ambassadors to Cross River State youths; giving them the platform to tell their success stories to our teeming youths on how they made it here in Cross River State.

Amongst the worthy ambassadors to mention but a few are,  *Challex D'Boss,* a star-boy music artist, *Emmanuel Ezima (A-Z Shoes),* *Hon. Barr. Ekpenyong Akiba,* the Special Assistant to the state governor on General Duties, a legal luminary, *Daniel Ehis ( Guinness world Record Holder,* *Gilbert Onete (Fashion Designer),* *Bernard Jessy (Benco Wielding Fabrication),* *Nuellaz Makeovers* and a host of others.

The epoch event was under the sterling chairman of *Hon. Cyril Omini,* member representing Yakurr I State Constituency, Chairman House Committee On Finance and Appropriation, and other dignitaries across the state and beyond including the honourable Commissioner for Sports Development *Mrs Agnes Atsu,* Commissioner for Finance *Mr Mike Odere,* Commissioner for Wealth Creation, *Patrick Egbede,* gentle men and women of the press and various Youths' organizations in attendance.

*Hon. Omini* used the moment to thank His Excellency *Senator Prince Bassey Otu* for fixing a square peg in a square hole by appointing *Hon. Odum-Ijom Ukam, Esq* as an Honourable Commissioner for Youths where according to his words, *"he is in his skin."* He acknowledged the effort of the commissioner in exploring possible means of arousing the possibly sleeping dreams and the resilient spirit of our youths. The chairman further proceeded to advice the awardees to be good ambassadors to the state and the youths of Cross River State cum Nigeria.

This impactful event came to a climax with the decoration and presentation of certificates to the worthy ambassadors.
