The Assistant Commissioner of Police and Area Commander, Tinapa Area Command, ACP Julius Inegbedion made this statement when he paid a scheduled courtesy visit to the Management of the Calabar Free Trade Zone as part of his familiarization tour of Corporate Institutions and Organizations within his operational Command.
Speaking with the Head of Calabar Free Trade Zone, Engr. Godwin Okimba Ekpe, the ACP said the essence of his visit was to get first hand information from the public on security issues, appraise the performance of his men on duty and come up with improved modalities to better secure lives and properties while providing enabling environment for production, Commerce and Industry in the Zone.
Responding, the Head of Calabar Free Trade Zone, Engr. Godwin Okimba Ekpe thanked the ACP Julius Inegbedion for his visionary, proactive and responsive approach to modern policing. He requested the visible presence of his men in the Zone to ward off criminals and those with criminal intents from perpetrating their heinous acts. Speaking further, he averred that Foreign Direct Investments and other Multi -Billion Dollar ventures could only be attracted to the Zone if the State and economic environment is secure and peaceful for business to thrive.
