 OBUBRA LG CHAIRMAN MEETS CHIEFS, SAYS GOVERNMENT IS SET TO COMPENSATE HARD WORK

Yesterday June 23, 2020 gave a new phase to Obubra Chieftency as the Executive Chairman, Dr Bassey Agara Tom addressed the Chiefs on the need to sit up in the course of discharging their duties. The meeting which was held at the office of the Paramount Ruler of Obubra, mile 1, has in attendance, Chiefs from all clans and villages in the local government Area.

In his Adress, the Executive Chairman who expressed satisfaction over the existing peace in the local government Area reiterated that any Chief whose community is found perpetrating violence to disrupt the existing peace shall be held responsible.

The Chairman reiterated the need for the prompt payment stipends to the certified Chiefs, adding that his administration will ensure that all dedicated Chiefs are awarded while he will ensure that certificates are issued to those worthy of certification.

Speaking on the issue of disputed lands, the Chairman promised that he will work in collaboration with the Chiefs and the state government in ensuring that the boundaries are properly demarcated and a lasting solution is proffered for lasting peace.
